| all right let me break it down for you, the new cold air intake will have a filter that comes with it. witch is why you'll have to remove the box that already has a filter in it. 8-10hp gain is about right I'd go up alittle more though maybe 12-15, which is noticable if you and your car are "one with another" (alittle japanese humor) the reason i give a higher hp is because it depends on the engines hp before you work on it, cold air intakes will usually give about 10-15% gains, not hp exact gains, and that depends if your factory intake is really restrictive, some super cars i.e. the viper, come with pretty much a cold air intake factory. you will have to take care of your purchase though, cleaning the filter is a must I would recommend every 10,000 miles if the filter doesn't come with any cleaning instructions. using air filter cleaners from K&N would probably be the best idea, I hope I've been helpful
