Who replaced the stock door speakers?

If so what brand/model. I have my eye on some Infinities, but would like to know how deep a speaker I can fit in there. The ones I want, Crutchfield says wont fit, Best Buy says it will. Now I know who I trust more for this, but I'd like to beleive Best Buy haha!

JL Audio

I replaced all 4 with JL Audio 3 ways. They are more efficient then the Infinitys. Unless you are going to add a power amp, the Infinitys will not sound good.

I also added the JL Audio stealth 10" woofer made just for the caliber, with a mono infinity power amp. the system sounds great.

I've used Infinities in my last 3 vehicles, been plenty happy with them, and I am sure the ones I picked up will sound just fine. I listened to some JLs in a local store the other day, sounded OK to me, nothing amazing though.

OEM speakers are not 6.5, they are 6x9, so you will need to get or make adapters. No need to pull the door panel, just the speaker cover. Open the door and look at the bottom of the cover, you will see a small gap where you can get something in there to start prying the cover off.

And by the way, these Infinities sound awesome, far better than the JLs I listened to in the store.

I had 6x9 infinities in my sxt (best buy open box deals). No complaints whatsoever, other than the fact that the rear view mirror always got blurry

i have a set of the JL VR 6X9 they are amazing they pound like a demon with no distortion JL makes the best by far but they cost a lot you can't base your decision on a sound box you also can't compare JL base line with infinity flagship line i have had them cranked with no distortion at all
