I am getting a new Dodge Caliber SXT. Is the Navigation System worth getting?

If I get the DVD-Based Nav. System, will it do any other functions? For instance, if I plug in my iPod, will it show up on the DVD screen? I hope that it does more than navigation!

If it is the MYGIG system. That is definitely worth it. its touch screen, has a 20 Gig hard drive to import music on, has a usb port on the front instead of the headphone jack (4mm pin) and has a really good interface. however if it is the old Chrysler NAV unit the only one they currently have available in the SRT4, I would say no. the controls are cumbersome, there is no usb port, its not a touch screen which makes inputing info a chore, and the screen is way to small.

I'm not sure which one is available for the SXT, the only change for the 09 CSRT4 is supposed to be the addition of he MYGIG radio as an option.

I think this is great news for all caliber owners! hell, everybody that owns a car and wants a nice high featured double din touchscreen nav unit and more!
Check out this link to the new visteon aftermarket nav radio. the thing comes packed with everything you can imagine and its cheaper than the nav unit offered from the dealership. I called one of the local distributors and they quoted me 1200 installed!

check it out:
