Well i like it and it comes in handy when you are driving places you dont know. Also like the 6 cd changer. But you could buy aftermarket for about the same with dvd.

It works really well, but could use an update. I think its a few years old. Well worth the money though. It saves miles, because I'm not lost driving around. It's also cool because it can locate specific places. I like it. You also get the 6-disc, which makes it the best bang for the buck nav system out there once you consider the additional disc capacity.

well it works

I went to best buy and had them install my amp and speakers. You just have to buy a connector for your factory stero. It sounds good i put 4 kenwood speakers at 500 watts a peice and two 10's with rockford fosgate amp.

Aftermarket Sound with the Navi...

If anyone knos the step by step process for installing the amp w/sub please post. Also, if you know the part number for a connector if needed that would be cool too. I live overseas (Korea) and no Best Buy here I am sure that I could work my way to an AV store but I like the hands on. Plus, if I mess up... it won't be as likely for me to hit myself Thanks!

Not the way I am going but go to this site for what ever you may need pac-audio and that would be com.
I only have six post so I can't just past in the link sorry.
This site is what you need just go to add an amp and for the rest of us just skip the audio shop and $$$$ we can do it.

I have the "REC" NAV unit and the only problem I've had with it is that it doesn't always give you the most efficient route.

I did a few tests in Portland in areas where I know my way around along with various routes to get places, and so I put in various destinations. It told me to take the "long" way 80% of the time and then when I passed the exit it wanted me to take (oh damn, I missed it - oops ), it recalculated the route and then gave me the one that should have been given in the first place.

ie: I was on a highway that ends and merges with the interstate where I wanted to go. It said to exit off the highway, go through the city about 10 miles and then get on the interstate on the other side. Granted, it would have worked, but why go through all the lights and changing speed limits, when the road I was on ran right into my destination???

I've found that when I go someplace I'm not sure about, I widen out the picture and see if there is a more direct route then what it wants me to take, and then make a note of it and let the system recalculate when I miss the recommended turn off. heheh

The other problem is that there is no AUX jack which I really want.

You can add an aux jack to the REC, it just wont be right on the front. I added one for mine when it was installed. I thought the Nav worked quite well myself. If I could have integrated XM into the head unit I would still be running it. And yes I know XM and Sirius are the same company, but I am under a contract that I locked in a great deal before prices went up, and I would lose that if I switched.
