Will Dodge dealers Kill the Challenger the way the Ford dealers killed the Last Ford

Thunderbird? Rumor has it that the Chrysler Dodge Dealers are going to demand $5000.00 over the sticker for the new Challengers. I remember when the last Thunderbirds came out and I went to numerous Ford dealers and they wanted way, way more than the sticker. So I talked to other potential Buyers and the consensus was, "They're not building cars for us they don't want us to hve them, they are bldg. them for rich people. Well You see what happened to the t-Bird and look where Ford is now!

Challenger

It 10k Over Sticker. All It Does Is Raise The Value Of The Car. If You Can't Afford It Why Look At It.

Dealer mark up will not raise the value of the car... You think the bank cares how much over sticker you paid? On the other hand, the Thunderbird was and still is, a joke.

Hey Spitz

Dealer Mark-up Does Raise The Value. As Long As Someone Is Willing To Pay What Ever Price For Any Product, It Automatically Raises Its Value. Take A Look At Ford F-150. It Has A Nice Rebate On It Cause The Consumer Will Not Pay Sticker For The Car. Banks Do Not Say How Much A Car Is. They Only Residualize It. Keep In Mind A Cars Actual Value Is 125% Over Invoice. There Are A Few Select Cars Or Trucks That Banks Have Already Decided To Not Give Loans For. (ex: Lambos, Ferraris And Even Classic Cars.) Try To Remember That You Have No Clue What Your Talking About Spitz. A Product Is Only Worth What The Customer Is Willing To Pay.

My wife has been writing loans for the past 8 years and I have purchased a few, so I feel like I do know what I'm talking about. Most banks use KBB or NADA values when determining the value of a car. Just because someone is willing to pay 10 grand for a used Volkswagen Bug doesn't mean it's worth it. If you work for a bank or know of a bank that says a car is worth 125% of it's invoice please PM me the details cause I'm thinking of buying another Neon as a track car.

Banks

Individual Banks Have Their Own Rules. Here In Texas, Credit Unions Call The Shots. We Are Not On The Same Page Here. Your Talking About Loans And I'm Talking About Value. Security Service Federal Credit Union Will Do 125% Over Invoice For Anybody With A 650 Beacon. While No Normal Bank Will Let You Finance A 1968 Impala For 40k, Does Not Mean It Doesn't Hold That Value. Case In Point Is The 1997 Rx-7. If You Were To Find On In Good Condition That The Owner Was Willing To Sale. The Owner Would Be Stupid To Sale It For Less Than 22k. As Far As The Bank Is Concerned Its Only Worth 10k. Therefore, No Loan For 22k. However, If I Happened To Have 22k In My Pocket, I Would Pay That Much For It. Because I Want One That Bad, If It Was In Good Condition. I Know I'm Not The Only One. So That Car Is Now Worth 22k. The Bank Has Nothing To Do With It.

All right I understand what your saying... I guess we have slightly different definitions of value versus worth.
