| I have a 2001 Dodge Neon and The AC has failed, my mechanic said I have to... ...bring it to the dealer.? He told me that there's plenty of coolant. Is there some kind of programming requirement? I don't want to go to a dealer and pay a fortune for a simple tweak. Anyone know the details of this? |

| A/C If You Want To Save Money Try Taking It To A Dealer Just To Find Out What Your Cars Needs. If All Else Fails, Buy The Part From The Dealer And Take It To Your Mechanic, Who Most Likely Has Lower Labor Rates, Or Flat Fees For That Job. |

  | Any type of A/C work almost always needs the refrigerant to be evacuated from the system and stored. It is illegal for it to be released into the atmosphere. The dealer than puts the same refrigerant back in. The machines that do this are not cheap and definitely not affordable for personal use. The only time this does not need to be done is if it is a simple wiring repair or fuse replacement. Take it to a dealer or repair shop that does A/C work. On a side note, MANDRUZZI...is there any reason why you capitalize every word in your sentence? It makes it difficult to read.
