I bought a US imported Chrysler Van in Canada..but local dealer says imports have no

warranty. what can I do ? I bought the Town & Country van privately ... and the person I got it from bought it from a Canadian dealer. When I went to check with a dealer in my home town I was told that because it is a US import it has no warranty. Can that be ? ..Is there anything I can do ? Would the warranty be valid if I took it to a US dealer if issues arise ? Anybody had similar things happen ? ..Any suggestions ? Thanks.

You can go back to the dealer where the former owner bought it and ask if u can buy an extended warranty for it.Worth a try.Good luck

NO

Do Not Go To The Dealer In Canada. You Need To Try A Dealer In The U.s. But That Is True About The Warranty. You Loose It. If You Have A Local Dealer, It Doesn't Have To Be A Chrysler Dealer, You Can Go There And Buy An Extended Warranty Plan. Don't Let Them Tell You Its More Expensive. Depending On The Coverage You Get, It Should Only Cost Between $800 To $1800.
