here are some pictures, there is a button next to the window controls which controls the mirrors. you can use this button to position the mirrors for personal position but if you turn it all the way around then the mirrors fold in. the last picture is the mirror in the motion of turning. hope this of some use for both of you.
oh almost forgot to mention that becuase they are electric they also are heated for when the frost sets in.

not sure but all cars in the uk must have side signal blinkers by law so maybe thats the reason? when was the u.s. cali launched? can i also asked how easy it was to install your grill and how does the bumper grill fit on?

dont know when it was released...i bought my caliber mid july...oh why is it law for those blinkers? :P

anyway the grill was pretty easy to install...couple of hard parts though.
all you gotta do is remove the latch mechanism cover...once u open the hood you'll see like 5 or 6 bolts...once u unscrew those, remove the cover then the hardest part is to stick ur hand down in there and remove the nuts from the stock grille. everything is easy from then on, its fits on perfect and it really makes the car look more bold :P

those are sweet....i see that the mirror adjust "joystick" would have to be replaced... i wonder if the us calibers are pre-wired for the rest...
