Center Console Removal

I am not sure if it has already been posted. But, I am about to do some custom paint work on the cali with ideas thanks to GreerSRT. I just need to take off the radio/ A/C bezel and the shifter bezel if possible

Re: Center Console Removal

Dig up the DIY Forum sections. There are a couple,of how-tos that show you how to remove the center console, some with heavy pics. Like Un4gtbl's center bezel removal pics in his double din radio install.

Its pretty easy:

Pop off the shifter surround
Then pull the bottom of the center bezel out
Next, run your hands up the sides of the bezel, carefully popping out the 3-6 clips on both sides, and swing the bottom up to unclip the top
Once that is done, disconnect the wire to the hazard lights/tcs button
Then remove the 4 screws that secure the a/c controls

Viola!

Re: Center Console Removal

A couple quick and dirty pics (all I had handy at work).
These where from another how-too I wrote not specific to what you are asking.

First pic, shifter bezel (see red arrows)

Second pic is the radio bezel (clips not indicated)
I believe there is six clips. Two at the bottom, two beside the radio and two at the top.
