blacked out headlights

hey im new and im getting my csrt4 today, and im wondering has anyone ever blacked out their headlights? not the outside part, but the bezel inside.....im getting a black car and i dont want the headlights to stick out. I've done this to countless of hondas so im curious if i can do this on my caliber....

Definately post a pic of how you stick them in an oven and melt them into a pile of goo.

Or... you actually get the housings apart, and you paint the reflective portion of a headlight housing black. Let us know how good the light output is.

i've stuck countless of headlights in the oven, to which none melted...not even corners, you just have to be very careful when you do and not preheat the oven and extreme temperature.
and FYI, im not painting the reflective housing....only surrounding bezel...kind of like teh charger's headlights.

I'll def. keep you guys posted.....

and thanks for being to damn optimistic.../sarcasm

Many people have done this. Look on other Caliber boards. They obviously don't paint the reflective part. You're pretty daft if that's what you were thinking.

The glue has a much lower melting temperature than the rest of the headlight.
