they never shipped the lights to me. they said they were receiving calls saying the lights were causing short circuits. they didn't want to sell defective products. they gave me a full refund. I originally thought they realized their mistake, but I've been checking the store and they don't sell them any more. so, I haven't bought another set from another company until I can find out more about possible problems.

Beware the Halo Projector Headlights!!!!

Okay I received my halo headlights on Friday and installed them. Here's a few things I thought everyone should know.

1. There was a warning sticker on them saying "Do Not Use HID Bulbs". I have seen these lights sold with HID upgrade kits for close to $300. I've asked a couple of the sellers if the headlights can handle the heat of HID bulbs. I never recieved a reply so I bought a set without the HID upgrade. I'm glad I did.

2. Installation is a "bear". If you aren't mechanically and electronically (12-volt auto) expirienced I would count on paying someone to install these headlights. I had to remove the entire front (bumper and grill) of my Caliber to get to the bolts that hold the headlights in. Also, they happen to be metric. The lights are not plug and play. There is one connector on each light (for the main light and high beam). The rest are open wires. So installation does require a little signal tracing and splicing which is kinda cool. If you know what you're doing you can customize what lights come on with what switches and which ones blink with the turn signal.

3. The entire install took about 3 1/2 hours, but I'm an electrical engineer. The installation instructions were a 1 page barely legible photocopy of something almost entirely irrelevant. Don't expect much help from the maker.

I do love the way they look though. I will post pics later (i need to wash my car first but we are on the 21st rainy day in a row). If anyone else is buying them and needs help with the install I can post pics of how I installed mine. I'll post them only if you REALLY need help. I didn't take pics while I was doing the install so I would have to take everything apart again.

That's all for now.

its quite allright to be a transformers dork, I've a decpticon tattoo

I think Dodge should have gotten more involved with the transformers movie, Bumblebee or jazz as a caliber/Avenger or Barricade as a Charger Cop car would have been way more awesome

I saw the midnight showing for it, who ever hasnt seen it, GO SEE IT!

I have seen posts on 2 other forums regarding the fogging,
in both instances the owners had modified or replaced the units
and again both found the only solution was to take them out and
reseal all the seams/joints with heavy duty black sealant.
