Headlight Assembly Replacement

Hello all...havent posted for quite some time...I have a 07 caliber from last year and i love it..drive it all over the place...have 40,000 miles on it and only have had it 11 months...

Anyways, today a work truck dropped a sheet of glass of its back raack and I caught the brunt of it. I ended up cracking a head light assembly. the guy drove off before I could get the info from him. So I am looking to replace the lens cover. But I assume that it is a complete assembly. So two questions:

1) how do you remove the headlight assembly and install a new one?

2) I was thinking about upgrading them to something eye catching..any suggestions?

Thanks for your time...

Happy driving

Tom

Sorry to hear about "pain in the glass" LOL.
I would say your into buying the whole assy from the dealer
although some Caliber have been seriously damaged in accidents
already and possibly you could pick one up second hand
from a scrap/junk dealer who is using the national database
for used car parts.
The headlight assy has been removed by a number of owners
who post on different Caliber forums,if I recall it's a matter
of removing the fascis from in front of the rad to expose more
screws and fasteners and it pops off as a unit.
To be on the safe side I would suggest a seach of some of the Caliber
forums on the net as I have read the posts but not have needed to
do it myself as of yet.
Again too bad about the accident, good luck!
