Unhappy need help finding some parts!!!!

brought my car for a service today and the results were terrible, the problem i had with my clutch is the release bearing needs to be replaced and my front left wishbone also. living in ireland they said the parts could take weeks. wishbone=300 euro, bearing 140 euro + labour so i found a lower controll arm which i think is american for wishbone for 129 euro posted from global dodge parts so thats good but does anyone know where i can find a cluth release bearing? and will it be the same as the one from the crd. the mechanic said its not a vw part and they would have to order it through crysler which could take weeks im hopin i can get it done under warrenty but i have so many mods done to my car plus tuning its unlikely. your help would be appreciated thanks.

Re: need help finding some parts!!!!

Doesnt the CRD still use the T355 5 speed tranny from other SE, SXT, and R/T Calibers? If so, it would be a dodge part. You may be able to find aftermarket in your area, but shipping from the states would not be much faster than getting dodge to order it. Best of luck!!

Re: need help finding some parts!!!!

SRT4 Calibers use a Getrag 6-speed transmission.

Petrol Calibers uses a the Magna Drivetrain T355 5-speed transmission.

CRD Calibers transmission is not a Getrag. I wish I remembered the name (Star* something?). It's supposedly the 6M gearbox from the TOYOTA RAV4.

startech maybe? yes the mechanic said the gearbox is different than the vw one. vw would have been an easyer fix because the bearing is on the outside and on this its inside which means the whole gearbox has to come out and stripped they can get the part but it will take weeks, the company in germany doesn't have them in stock.

Startech is a tuning company that also makes body panels for various Mercedes and Chryslers.

Ah. That would fit the RAV4 description. Where did you get the info from?

Re: need help finding some parts!!!!

Isn't the release bearing technically part of the clutch, not the transmission?

Or are we talking about the pilot bearing?
