What is the difference between the engine in the new 08 Dodge Caliber compared...

...to the regular 2.4L..? engine found in the regular Calibers, Patriots, and Compasses or any other Chrysler Car equiped with the 2.4l world engine. If I was wanting to mod my regular engine, could I just use the stuff they put on the SRT's?

I can't really speak from experience, but generally most bolt on's for the SRT are going to be tailored to the turbocharged aspect of it meaning intakes, and the such so NO those wouldn't work, and being turbo's are exhaust driven most headers/manifolds wouldn't work on a N/A vehicle. Now catback systems and things of that nature might, but untill the car actually gets out there and parts are made no one can really know for sure!

The 2.4L in the Caliber SRT4 has different compression ratio as well as
different pistons, crank and connecting rods so althogh it may look
simlar it is not and if you have a CVT tranny your beating a dead horse
as it is not a performance tranny in the configuration/software that
is used in the Caliber.
