Doors sound hallow?

OK, has anyone else noticed that our doors seem like they are going to be able to dent real easily? I haven't had one myself yet...knock on wood...but when I shut the doors with any kind of force they don't have a very reassuring sound. I don't know how to describe it though, it just sounds hollow and not strong I guess. Has anyone else noticed this?

p.s. Yes, I have actually had alot of time on here today First time in a couple of weeks, sorry for all the posts and questions

The doors are very similar to what I had on my Saturn.
They have a little "give" to them if you butt them if you don't get it closed for some reason. It's probably that "dent-resistant polymere" (aka plastic).

If it is, they held up 100% in my Saturn for 11 years. NO DENTS!

I was very happy with it on my old hooptie and hope that's what Dodge did.
I never needed any body work done on the Saturn.

Thats what Saturn's ad campaigns used to be based around. I forgot about those forgiving panels.

I hope they aren't like the ones that were on my Dad's Ford lol I "butted" it (literally lol) and he had to take it in to pop the HUGE dent out of it lol

Well, I had to butt the caliber on Friday and it gave and returned just fine.
Just don't take a sledge hammer to it and you will keep her clean and pretty looking.

Has anyone tried that "Dent King" product with the big suction cup? Just wondered. I guess I'd rather be prepared when it happens

If I am right, some of those produces require you to drill small holes in your car for leverage to use the cup to pull the dent up. I could be wrong though.

The doors are hollow, and if you get a base model like mine the door panel is the same hard plastic that the cargo floor is made of.
