What do you think about these two vehicles? I've done a little bit of research and I've narrowed the 2 vehicles within a few categories. Price, Features, Performance and Overall Space.
- In this comparison I used the 1.8L engine which comes standard on the Caliber SE and also the 1.8L on the Versa because this is all it has to offer. (However a sedan will be coming out later, with who knows what). Weighing in at 2779 pounds, the Versa cost $15550, pushing out 122hp and 127ft-lbs torque. The Dodge Caliber as we know, weighing 3039lbs, costing $15425, and pushing out 148hp and 125ft-lbs torque.
The winner of the Price round is, our dear ole, Caliber.
Secondly, Features is something that a car owner should be looking at before they even look at the car appearance, because truly we want safety first.
- The Versa's head air bags, comes standard in both the front and rear. While the Caliber only has it available in the front. The side air bags comes standard on the versa while this is an option that you would have to upgrade to on the Caliber. However, the Versa does not have stability control available for its vehicle but the Caliber does. The tire pressure monitor is stock on the versa while Caliber owners have to upgrade to it.
The winner of the Features round is the Versa.
Thirdly, Performace goes to the Caliber because the caliber gives you more power for the dollar. The Caliber has a larger fuel tank capacity by .4 (13.2 vs 13.6).The Caliber says 30/32mpg, but everyone knows its more, while the Versa has 30/36.
Lastly, Overall Space, goes to the Caliber, it offers more rear headroom, front/rear shoulder room, front/rear hip room, and cargo volume for your luggage.
Any more info that you guys have to offer please, post em :P
