Should I get a Salvaged/Repaired 2007 Dodge Caliber w/ 20,000 miles? Asking

8000, but can bargain down.? Front end damage that wasn't too extensive, assuming I take it to good mechanic that finds no engine or body problems.

All depends on the extent of the damage. Also what trim is it? If it was me, I would only consider buying an R/T thats salvaged.

salvage cars can be a good deal in the right situations. i would generally stay away from flood / fire damaged cars, but one with accident damage can be fixed pretty solidly by a competent mechanic if the original damage wasn't too extensive.

a couple important things to take a look at before buying it:

1) make sure the engine didnt get damaged at all in the collision.

2) suspension / alignment: front end damage can throw off alignment and sometimes keep you from being able to adjust the wheels/tires to the correct camber. The tires will wear abnormally fast, as well as having adverse handling effects.
