| depending on driver the caliber and cobalt ss (turbo not supercharged) are about the same then gti then the civic. I dont even think the civic breaks 14's in the quarter. Could be wrong, but if it is in the 14's its gotta be a 14.9 14.8 seriously. |

| I dont know about the cobalt but I was out at Waterford Hills Raceway in clarkston MI last weekend for an Open Track Day, there were a couple of Civic Si's and I believe one GTi - due to the track and experience of the drivers (all of us being in the zero experience class) none of those three cars came close to posting the times I was laying down. This track is not for the faint hearted though. It is very technical and is more a lesson in suspension setup than high horepower. I think there needs to be two qualifications for people measuring up different cars against each other: the people who want bragging rights from a drag slip and the people who understand the concept of a cars performance should always include discussion of braking, handling, power, torque, and the ability to make the driver comfortable enough to take all of those to the cars limits. The CSRT4 impressed the hell out of me at the track last weekend. I have owned far more expensive cars that have not inspired the confidence I had when pushing a car to its limits. as for your question, having never driven the cobalt i would have to omit it. CSRT4 GTi Civic Si

As for it being a 7:28 sec car claiming to be faster then the Carrera GT around a track, well in the recent one lap of america the GTR got its ass handed to it by the viper it wasnt closer then 10 secs on any of the 15 tracks they raced at. That would make the Viper ACR a 6 minute N-ring car. As much of a viper fan that I am I highly doubt the ACR would break the 6 minute mark at the N-Ring. | |
