Exclamation Brand New Caliber, & I Was In A Car Accident, Hellp!!

THIS WAS JUNE 15TH I POSTED THIS...

Ok, so I got a '08 Caliber as my first car in March, actually the 10th of March, which was my birthday and I got into a car accident at the end of April. I'm recently a new driver. Got my DL in the beginning of January. The accident happened on the expressway. I was not at fault but I did crash in the back of another car, and that car crashed into another that was infront of him. This was of course my 1st accident driving by myself so I didn't really know much about the whole exchanging of insurance info and how my car was going to get fixed and blah, blah. Basically my front right side was damaged. It was leaking anti-freeze. So this towing company towed it. But to their place and not to the dealership. I didn't think it mattered. When I got it back it was good. They fixed it, and it looked like new. I tested everything before I left the shop too. Then 2 weeks later the inspection light came on and it was over heating and I took it to a shop and they ran a test. It read "System too Lean (Bank 1)" and "System too Rich (Bank 1)" So I called the place that fixed my vehicle and they came and took my Caliber to their shop and when I got it back it seemed everything was fixed. No inspection light showing and the nozzle for the overheating was at "C" but now, it's June and my car is still overheating and the inspection light came BACK ON. So tomorrow I'm going to take it to the dealership and see what they say. I have anti-freeze in my car so I have no clue what could be going on. Any ideas, suggestions, comments, opinions???

NOW THIS IS TODAY..

Ever since the car accident my car hasnt been acting the same. Wed. will be my 3rd time taking it back to the dealership. The check engine light keeps coming on. Ok, here's the thing. When I'm on breaks, like at a red light or stop sign, my car starts to vibrate, shake, jerk. Not a lot but slightly. I'm starting to think that I will have no car soon. I know we have something called the lemon law, but this is all because of the accident The 1st two times I took it to the dealership they fixed the overheating probably, now it's just the jerking of the car and what not. I'm pretty annoyed now that I have to keep taking it back there, and I don't live close to it. Any opinions that could help a sista out? I don't know what the problem could be or what the result will be.

Sell it.

A car that's been in a relatively decent collision will be a wild card as far as failures for the rest of the time you own it.

Hate to say it but I agree here. Did you get GAP coverage when you bought the car? ( or is it not offered? I buy my srt 4 in 3 months )

No one will buy it if it's messed up like that. I guess when I go to the dealership, I'll see what they say.

They don't have to know.

Does the car seem to be steaming out of the tail pipe(s) when it is up to operating temperature? Pay attention at a stop light or actually get out and check. It sounds like it may have warped a head from the first overheating experience. It could have leaked out the antifreeze at the impound yard, and ran for a little bit before anyone noticed that it was empty. Or it could have got really hot while you were driving, and done the same. If coolant is leaking into one of the cylinders, it will run like crap. But, you should have some steam if the radiator is full. You have checked the radiator and not just the blow over tank, right?
