HELP!!! Brand new Dodge Caliber is not starting!!!?

The car is a 2007 and still has a warranty. It was in the shop last week for the same problem and they said all that was wrong was it needed an oil change. I got the car back and less than a week later the same problem occurs. The car hesitates when I try to start it and sometimes you cannot start it at all even if you try for over a half hour. I am beginning to think the car is a lemon. It has never been in an accident, and I would like to know what could be wrong. It takes the dealership 2 days to get me a loaner car every time I have to get this thing towed in, so in the meantime I am stuck walking with 2 little kids and I am 8 months pregnant. Serious answers only, I am about to crack here.

since you have a warranty on it they HAVE to fix it.scream and yell and ask for a free loaner .I had the same problem some years ago with a GM product. I dumped it.

call the dealer service department and see what they can do for you,
they might be willing to go out of their way to help if they failed to fix the problem the first time.
usually the lemon law will not apply until they have tried to fix it many times.

sorry to hear about ur situtation i feel u having kids is fun but stuck in gear... lol goood luck ...
comparing to what they said i can't tell the problems,
are u getting power such as healight turn on etc if yea then it something else now when u turn the car do uu hear the engine clicking or wining .
if it's clicking that mean it's the starter and if it's turning that is caprassion issue (let someone locate the starter for u and hit on it while u try to start it with the key , of course imagine u under that car would husband would freak and i'am sure he won't mind would think it's hot...
now next turn the key in on position and see if u can hear the fuel pump it's loacated in the gas tank u would need someone to hear it for u don't start just turn it in on position do it couples times,(winng winng )now if u don't hear anything that could ur fuel pump is bad . u can hit on it it might start ....
last thing u need to check if u have spark on plugs.
to check that have to take the spark plugs out and see if it would spark by using a screwdriver. if not then it's a alot to work on .could be module or crank sensor.
i have a question is ur alarm switch off (ladies don't have clue about that not saying stupid just wondering before u start diagnose it ..

Take it to another dealer. Maybe this one has crappy service. It does happen. Do not base your experience on one dealer alone. Chrysler is a good car, just that you might have a no so good service at that dealership.

Does the motor spin over normaly or spin slowly and die. If the second answer is correct the alternator may not be charging the batterry properly or the battery is a lemon.

YOU, tell the Dodge dealer to check the battery reserve capacity (loat test) and alternator voltage output. It (alternator) should be between 13.5-14.0 volts with the motor running. Tell the jerks you want the answers to these two questions.

The battery would be the best place to start as there
have been several posts in Caliber related forums of
early battery failure and also several of poor or loose
battery post connections causing the same intermittent
problem.
There have also been 2 or 3 posts regarding the ECM
(engine control module) being replaced for intermittent
drivability problems and one poster found the IOD
fuse in the power control module(fusebox-drivers side
under the hood) had not been inserted properly during
dealer prep.
The last thing it could be the is the passkey ignition
and interlock system which is complicated, there are
cables and electronics to be dealt with and the
transmission interface(if the car thinks the tranny
is not in PARK or NEUTRAL it won't start).
I would also suggest a second dealer and a call to
Chryslers customer hotline along with an email
describing your frustration.
Good luck!
