Has anyone had trouble with the AWD Dodge Caliber's rear wanting to kick out

on snowy, slushy roads? Everytime I'm on snowy roads, doing about 40 mph or less, it seems like when I go down hills, my rear end wants to kick out and it feels like the car is uncontrolable. You really have to go extra slow on snowy roads, like 20 mph so it doesnt' do this. Any one else had this problem? Husband said it might be our tires on it, they are the ones that came on it, but they are larger rims and tires.

Have you tried using "L" gear in those situations?
The reason you notice a difference at around 20 mph
is that the RTs AWD doesn't kick in until about 25 mph
therefore it's likely disengaged at that point.

Are you riding the brakes while going down the hills?
