rt or say mini van with 3.8

i know the rt is no race car, but those who have them how are they performance wise??i mean is it faster and or quicker than what you did drive?? what did it replace?? mine would be town & country 3.8 v6
hp rt, 172 torq 165 - van 200 torq 235 van wins
gearing looks like rt, 3.91 - van 3.43 looks good for the rt
weight rt, 3156 lbs - van 3988 lbs wow rt is 832 lbs lighter
so on paper i think the rt should be quicker / faster over the van
it would be the wifes so it shouldn't bother me but i'd drive it here and there and i realy don't want drive a slug bug that can't get out of it's own way.
any and all feed back wecome......................................thanks

I had a 1993 Dodge Shadow ES with a 3.0L V6. The caliber feals softer than the V3, but the 0-60 times are faster on my Caliber R/T. If I was to race the 2 cars, the caliber would win. The V6 does put you back in the seat a little more at its shift points, but the actual real world performance is that the caliber is slightly faster.

My last vehicle (traded on Caliber) was 98 Dodge Caravan (short body)
with a 3.3L/AUTO and it would have left this Caliber in its dust (2.0L/CVT)
having said that I bought the Caliber for better mpg and didn't need
to be driving all that empty space around.
Oh yea VVT is Variable Valve Timing look it up on Wikipedia.com.

okay, since no one else mentioned it...the Caliber replaced the Dodge Neon. It's not a minivan. It's closer to a sport utility car (if that makes sense). If you haven't seen one yet, they are close to a Toyota Matrix or any other hatchback larger than a civic.

variable valve timing, it is like hondas v-tech, it adjust the valve timing continously through out your engines rpms and gears and such.
