first off , the likely hood of you getting pulled over for them is not great, and if you do just play dumb and say i bought it that way, the cop isnt going to know 5000k between 6500k or w/e My suggestion if you worried, go get some silver stars they will cost you 40 bucks total, easy swap (plug and play) completely legal and are truly brighter than stock halogens. Try autozone, murrays, advanced w/e is around you Last edited by daytonakid : 02-12-2007 at 08:30 PM.

Texas I am new to the forums here and new to the Caliber community so I would like to say "Hey!" to everyone. I have yet to modify the lighting on my VERY base model Caliber, but I run 10K Violet-Purple on my 95 300ZX here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and in the Little Rock, Arkansas area when I go home, and have never had any problems. I have even asked both Arkansas State Troopers, and Texas department of Public Safety and they both said they were legal in the state. Now here is the trick. if they are not legal in your state go to the next state over and they usually are. Get a PO Box and register your car there. I have both of mine still registered in my hometown in Arkansas. It saves me 200 dollars a year in inspections and tags. What it comes down to is if you are not a resident of the place it is illegal they can't enforce it. Some of this is theory, and may be illegal. Please check your local laws first. ![]() ![]()

I had HIDs on my EXT that were white-white. From what I read, they were in the 4300K area. I also used Silver Stars on my Avalanche before the EXT, and they burned out rather often. Mind you, I never had to replace the capsules on the EXT in the four years that I had it. Given how NOT easy it is to replace the bulbs, I would want something that has reasonable longevity. I'm looking at installing 3000Ks for my foglights and 6000Ks for my H13s. I did find a site that had 5000Ks at one time, but I don't know if I saved the link. I also read that the H13 bi-xenons are actually a single bulb that changes position with respect to the reflector to cause the light projection to change.
