Mopar peformance parts Which provides the best HP improvement, Header, or cat-back exaust? Do they help each other, in other words if the header alone adds for example 5 hp, and the exaust adds 5 hp, will both of them together add 11 hp? What impact if any does the high flow Mopar air filter have on the above parts (I am not that excited with the Mopar CAI, which is acutally a HAI).

Currently the Mopar headers are not compatable with the AWD, but I can get a CAI from K/N and a magnaflow exaust. Yes it has DOC VVT | |

thats wierd how the transmission is affecing your exhaust manifold? I dont have a caliber, but idont see why they would matter, I wouldnt worry about the headers to much any how, for the price, the performance enhance is minimal, expecially after getting the intake, and exhaust. that vvt is sick! unless your going to turbo your car, the next thing i woould look into performance wise is lowering your car and suspension.

The exaust manafold is shaped differently, but I cannot see all of it. Mopar clames with their CAI, Cat-back system, and headders to get +10 hp. Their CAI puts the filter by the exaust manafold. K/N has one now with a heat shield. Magnaflow makes a cat-back sysem that is compatable with the AWD, I was thinking that the combination of the K/N CAI, and the Magnaflow high flow exaust should help the engine breathe better. Without better headers, shoud I expect arount 8 HP? K/N clames +7.94 HP, and Magnaflow clames, +10 HP? What sounds to be a reasonable expectation?

iwould try and find a manifold back exhaust, if you have 2.25" to the cat then your running 2.5, its almost unesassary to even get a cat back. thats what my friend whos an engineer for corsa swears by, - your exhaust is only as good as the weakest link. 10hp is pretty reasonable, but you would need to dyno for sure. Idk if any one read that other post of mine, but hood scoop aside, the quarter panels is going to be the best place for your intake, it will have to be custom fab though.
