| the aem yes is a piggy back but its in another realm than the afc etc. it has over twice the tuning boxes that most piggy backs have and loads of features that pretty much make it the closest of its type to a stand alone. a flash tuner is always nice, cobb has been using them for subies for quite some time and now with the ms3. they work great and are super simple. but they are basically otb maps until their street/pro tuner software comes out. dont get me wrong theres plenty of better options in the tuning world. but saying there is no real tuning solution out leads people to think theres nothing out period. when in fact there is a option out and a very good one at that. my honest opinion on this whole matter is.... mopar stated S1 should be out in oct, i'd wait to see what they bring to the table. at that point there will be 2 viable tuning solutions out and this should spark production of more. that being said a "true tuner" would use a stand alone and take full control of the car, that is too involved for 99% of people. different strokes for different folks i guess. |
