Thumbs up New in Cheyenne

My GF just picked up a CSRT4 this weekend. I'd never heard of these until this weekend. I've been strictly into German cars for the last 10 years and ricers for 10 years before that; having given up on American cars in the 80's. I have to say, this little thing is a beast! Don't get me wrong, I won't trade in my Audi for it, but if I was in the market for a car today, I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat. It's got many of the bells & whistles the A3 has, more room inside, weighs the same, and has 85 more hp ... for $10k less (and it looks tough)! I've been having so much fun driving it. Dodge really did this right; the mongo fmic stuffed behind the grill, the brake cooling ducts, the Getrag tranny, boost gauge, big brakes, 19's, tires, tpms, hood vent, ground effects - the list goes on ... I'm not easily impressed with most autos but this thing is awesome. I'd say this is the best US car/truck/crossover/whateverthehellyoucallit on the market. I bought the A3 Sportback for its refined fun and functionality, but the SRT4 is more raw fun (with more functionality). I'm now in on the best kept secret in the auto world. I'm going to be chipping the Audi this month just so she won't totally be able to blow my doors off (my faster shifting DSG is still the only thing that will keep me in the race).

GF's not much for forums so I'm here instead. She'd like some clear tails and replace the whip antenna with a stubby. Any recommendations on some quality aftermarket parts/dealers? Any common problems/fixes/thou-shalt-nots that we should know about?

Looking forward to years of fun here.

its a cool car, ive had both the neon srt and now the cliber, both are awesome cars and loads of fun.

i just added a turbo back, large fmic (stock one looks big but its not and it sucks) and a intake. im not gonna say the intake did much but it will do its ob later on. the fmic and tbe do a big difference. theres some vendors on this forum, i dont know much about them maybe the others here can tell you more. theres another forum also called caliberforums.com thats where i bought my parts from. two of them have gotten 400 whp on this car without any issues . theres also a list of all the tsb's for the car and monthly chat sessions with the srt engineers. my advice is float back and forth from this forum to the one i mentioned, that way you get infor from everyone and get to see what each forums vendors offer. mopar s1 is supposedly due out in oct, but if its like the nsrt itll be delayed. at this point the car is too new for there to be a huge aftermarket so take your time and learn the car, lots of info on these two boards. enjoy the car and i think the audi is a nice car too, i was into vw a long time ago.
