First your gonna have to get a spark plug gapping tool or a feeler gauge. You can get it at any auto store or sears will have them. Thats what you will use to measure your gap. they cost about $5-$10.

For a stock car you should be gapped between .035 -.040

For those of you running a higher boost or stage 1 .029 - .031

If the gap is too small use pliers with the iridium plugs. if you use a screw driver or a gapping tool it will damage the iridium coat.

Wicked post man. Very helpful! I kinda got lost after pulling the engine cover off. I assume the spark plug socket is a specific tool? Would any other sockets work?

its a 5/8 socket that has a rubber groment on the inside to help protect the plugs when removing and installing them. you can get these anywhere. sears, lowes any auto store and im sure walmart even has them.

Well it looks like I have a little weekend project. Not enough daylight from when I get home from work to do it during the week. Taking in account the cool off time for my engine.
Thanks again!
