wastegate question

i was just wondering if any one could give me a good starting point on how long or short to make the rod on the wga i just recived my ptp wga in the mail and i really want to install it but i need a good starting point any help thanks.

Preload the WGA with 1.5 to 2mm worth of preload (force the WGA over the pin on the flapper arm). This is a good starting point for our WGA.

ok when you say 1 to 2 mm dose that mean shorter than the stock wga i sorry if im sounding like and idiot but i dont want to mess anything up

I'm pretty sure what he means is that if you have the WG closed and the actuator rod sitting by the WG stud that you will need to pull the rod 1.5-2 mm to get the rod eyelet over the WG arm's stud...does that make sense? If not then set the rod shorter then the stock rods overall length by approx. 1/4", attach and go for a ride, record max boost and then shortent the rod to increase boost or lengthen the rod to lower peak boost.

the install is goin well i have been taking my sweet time putting it in cause im saving gas by bumming rides to and from work lol but ill let you guys know when i take it for a test drive

well all i have to say is thanks ptp for another great product the test drive went well and im at at a loss for words but thanks to all that helped me with my questions
