The car comes with a pump to circulate coolant through the turbo once the car is shut down, meaning you don't require a turbo timer.

This may seem lame, but the first thing I did was buy a pair of those little wide angle, view mirrors. I'm notorious for almost changing lanes right into somebody. The next thing I do is rubber floor mats. After that, it's time for tint. Here's what I mean.

Stock.

It was supposed to be 20%, but I think he did 5.

A few things caught my eye while reading this thread.

1. The SRT-4 Caliber DOES come with a sunroof, it was one of the options I selected. Maybe it's one of those regional options only available on the East Coast but I've been seeing more and more people saying they wish the SRT-4 had one.

2. The SRT-4 already has 3" exhaust and red calipers.

3. As far as pools of water and a CAI, this is the oldest myth or wive's tale in the world of modifying cars. I've been modifying cars for years, lowering, CAI, etc. and I've driven thru plenty of running water, puddles, etc..

If the water is so deep that the entire front of the car will be submerged, which requires water at least 12"-14" deep, you most likely will get water into the intake. If you drive into water that deep and you have a CAI, you deserve whatever happens caused by your own stupidity. If you stop in water that deep long enough to submerge your air filter and allow it to pull water into the engine, again, this would be your own fault. I know there are instances where water can be deeper than you expect and it can just about stop you. It happened to me in my other car just a few weeks ago. In those rare occasions, it is possible but just avoid the water or try to use a different route.

Ever put your hand over the end of a CAI with no filter? The amount of suction required to sustain enough lift to pull water through the filter and then up into the engine would require sitting in the water and practically redlining your engine. Again, if you do that....

My previous vehicle was lowered 3 1/2", putting the air filter about 5" above the pavement and I never got water in it. Got plenty of gravel and debris but that's about it. For one thing, most vehicles have splash guards underneath the engine for this very reason. Granted, if you remove this (like I had to), it's your own fault. Secondly, you are moving along at a decent speed so when you hit the water, it gets splashed away quickly enough to not be pulled into the engine.

I know someone will post saying they know a guy...blah, blah blah. Show me proof. It's not impossible but highly improbable.

And as for what voids the warranty, if the dealers sells it and/or installs it, IT CAN'T VOID THE WARRANTY! Just a little common sense here, folks. If you have any questions about what can and can't void a warranty, do the following:
Ask the dealership service department, not the salesman you worked with or read the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Look it up on Google or Wikipedia. This was enacted on behalf of people like us who modify cars. I won't go into the Act here because it has too many details but check it out yourself and stop being led blindly by all the so-called know-it-alls out there. These forums are great sources of info, I know because I belong to about 5 different ones but that being said, there are a lot of "experts" that think they know all the answers.

Hope some of what I said helps anyone new to modding and doesn't provoke those who have experience. Just some things get under your skin when you start seeing the same "what if's" and " I heard's" on different boards.

I got the black CSRT-4 with everything on it from the dealer... Mods for now I would want to put on it are tint (20% driver/passenger doors, then 15% on the rest), not too sure if I should go with the Mopar conversion plate or buy something like a Greddy or HKS BOV for it... Not looking for something overly obnoxious, but just giving a tone to say, watch yourself, ... Then it'd be the 3" exhaust system, because those ten bends in the factory exhaust would be nice to minimize... Adding a new d/p with cat (potentially hi-flow as long as it doesn't throw CELs, and one of those replacement antennas for the big ugly one that's on there, haha... ... That'd be it for this year at least, tehe
