What would be your firsts mods for your Caliber SRT-4?

One thing I noticed when a new car comes out is that the aftermarket is slow in comming. I noticed that the first few pieces of aftermarket parts to be released include lowering springs and exhaust systems. That being said, the first few mods I would like to do is have my Caliber SRT-4, which would be red , lowered and have a nice 3 inch exhaust installed on it. I might want to wait until a good looking non rice rear bumper body kit comes out that would allow dual exhaust because I rather have dual exhaust. But the first thing I would probably do right off the bat is to take those sweet 19 inch wheels and get them powder coated black and have the SRT engravings painted red to match my Caliber. Maybe while i'm at it, have them paint those big brakes red as well. I can't wait!

Another one of the first mods to come out is an air intake as well. I would deffinately have to go with that as well because it will add a noticable bump in performance and you will also be able to hear the turbo spool up way better. That sound is music to my ears! And the only stereo system I would need.

My Caliber SRT-4, Black, would be taken to the tint shop for black tint, have the wheels powder coated black (spokes only), and like Richard, have the SRT engravings painted, but electric blue, calipers powder coated electric blue, electric blue pin striping’s, and of course the 3 to 3 1/2" exhaust installed.

I will have the blue inserts with the cloth interior, blue center consol bezels…I’m not one for leather.

Then when the stage 4 turbo come out...that will definitely get installed.

The other day I saw a Silver R/T in a PetSmart parking lot. It was kind of parked in the back of the parking lot so I assume it's an employee's vehicle. I circled around the lot 2 times to get a good look . It had tint all the way around, I would guesstimate it was a 5% job all around and 20% on the front driver and passenger. It looked really really great, although I bet its a pain to see backing up, especially at night. I didn't have a camera on me to take pictures =\.

I need tint so badly... Texas heat is blazing!!!

I would LOVE a sunroof... that would be the best mod. I wonder how much one done aftermarket would be? My Gfriend paid $1K for her Avalanche to have one fitted in and it is sweet!

I would also want the mud flaps, door sills, vent visors (for doors), and the cargo area cover.

I think I want a ghost vinyl too, but not sure what I'd want.... a cool dragonfly one to match my tatoo or standard flames or horse flames??? Help! I can't decide and don't know where to get them in the first place.

Oh! And being the nerdy math teacher that I am.... LOL.... I want custom plates. One of 3 options: #1) GOT PI #2) MTH ROX or #3) ALGBRA

I teach 8th grade and the kids would go wild about that ... they think math sucks, but a car is all math inside and out... including the payments (yucky).

Speaking of custom license plates. The other day I saw a car that had a plate that read "read2um" I figured she must have been a teacher. Also if you plan on getting your Caliber's windows tinted I would recommend 20% or 30% all around. You might or might not want to tint your driver and front passenger windows, depending on what you prefer.

I got my Accord tinted with 5% tint on the rear passengers and back windows. Although it looks really nice and cool, its hard to see out of them, especially when its dark.

Thanks for the tip. I wouldn't have known what % to ask for. I want them "dark" but I really need to be able to see out. Is the lower the #, darker or the higher the #? Just curious.

The lower the number the darker the tint. It's actually a measurement of how much light is allowed through the window. 100% would be no tint, and 0% wouldn't let any light through at all. 5% is considered limo tint.
