Sorry for being an idiot, but got my plugs today and thought it would be pretty easy to do. Anybody with some good instructions. I had the engine cover off, but don't know how to get at the plugs. Thanks

Change Plug Instructions

1. Unscrew the intercooler hose clamp towards the front of the car, pull it out of the boot so you can scoot the tube to the side.

2. Take off the engine cover. Just by pulling it straight up.

3. Our cars have a coil on plug design. Unplug the clip connected to each of the plugs. Pull the coil straight up. Now you can remove the spark plug.

Suggestions: Use some anti-seize on the threads of the new plugs. Before installing them. This is from past experience. The next time you go remove them, can you imagine breaking one off inside the cylinder head? Trust me, it's a stressful situation. Drill, backout tool, and hoping nothing to big falls into the cylinder or screwing up your threads in the cylinder head.

the coils have torqs bits, either use the right bit or you can also use a flat head bit but make sure its fits perfect into 2 slots facing each other. they arent very tight so the risk of stripping them isnt to hi. i used the flat head way.

DO NOT DO THIS WITH A WARM ENGINE!!!!!

the head is aluminium, it expands and contracts at a lower temp than the plug. if you engine isnt completely cooled off, the plug will go in and when the engine cools off it will contract and then your screwed. so buy them, let the car sit till itscompletely cooled and then change them.

Ya totally informative. I'm 34 and never touched a car, other than changing a tire. This is the first car I've even wanted to try tweaking. Thank God you guys post how-too's for the cartards. Thanks.

Ya dude thanks, I think it's a winner. I started using it in casual conversation, and so far people are taking to it pretty well.
