AEM intake install for SRT4

How hard is the AEM intake install and is it worth the price. I currently have the K&N filter installed.

This peice is nothing more than a couple bolts, I myself do not think it's worth the money you can achieve similar results with the stock airbox and an k&n filter, the only main difference is the hose from the turbo to the airbox, the aem has a smooth hose as opposed to the accordian peice on the stocker.

its more than just a couple bolts, its a whole new box (larger than stock) a larger smooth pipe from box to turbo and re-utilizes the stock air damn to the grill. its a nice piece, but imo totally over priced. plus i doubt should someone want to go b/t one day that it will be sufficient. at least its $100 less than the mopar one even though they are identical.

aem designed the mopar unit. they are identical aside from one says mopar on the lid and the other says aem, oh and mopar for some reason thinks since it says mopar on it its worth $100 more. both of those are over priced imo, nice units but way too much. youll be happy with the drop, its cheap and nets good gains for what it is.

on a side note, i should be getting my fmic this week or next, and theres gonna be a south fla dyno day early august so itll be cool to see what i get with tbe, sri and fmic but no added boost.

k first off removing the factory was a piece of cake all of 10~15 min's... putting the new one on was a diffrent story myself i follow instructions thank god or i would still be at it (jk)... the only hard part was fitting my hands in to tighten up the clamps (theres the only nightmare if you have normal size hands). Anyways it really makes your turbo scream and it pulls like mad (broke traction from 1~4). So yeah i would say its more then worth the coin.
o and the cops dont like it one bit was pulled over on the way home cause the piggly wiggly figured i was gonna race a shellby at the little (rad. going nuts like im that stupid)...

my next mod is my exhaust (wanna go with the complete delete kit but thats just asking for trouble)

anyone done there exhaust i would be greatfull on any feed back..

thanks
J.D.
