1st gear

hey there everyone .......i'm a first time 4 cyl turbo owner , long time dodge owner.....more so the older muscle cars and i have to say what a blast driving such a peepy car. but i have to ask is it normal for it to be alittle sluggish off the start in first unless you rev it way up to get going ......just curious

It's a known issue with this car. It has an electronic throttle, there is no cable attaching the pedal to the throttle body. Every CSRT-4 does it, and it sucks.

Some days for me it's great, other days it bogs. It's like a "dead zone" in the light throttle area. There is no "fix" yet, just kind of have to deal with it.

Some people have said the ECU reflash the dealer performs helps, as well as dropping in the NGK Iridium IXs which I have done and they help idle.

There is supposedly a throttle calibration deal you can do.

Turn key on, engine off. Wait for all the dash lights to go out, engine light will probably remain on.

Slowly depress the throttle all the way to the floor, and then slow release back to rest position.

thanks i'll give the calibration a try
i did the plugs today and i also added a k & n filter
it seemed to help alot
was thinking of getting some stage 2 injectors for the dealer next and give them a try
