Large FMIC installed pix*

pics are crappy and from a cell phone so sorry for bad quality. install went well. im lucky to be local to e.d so i so far have gotten my tbe, sri and now fmic all installed and built right in front of me. the install was not too difficult, a lift helps but is not at all necessary. fit is perfect, intercoole is very well built nice welds etc. for you ex nsrt guys, youll look at it and kinda think "wheres the rest of it?" but keep in mind bigger is not always better, and this one has been proven efficient at 400hp and >400 trq, it does the job well. for whats it worth it would be difficult to fit larger anyway.

now for my impression: pipes fit perfect everything just fell right into place, so for anyone at home the hardest part is pulling the bumper which is pretty easy. the unit is bar and plate, all pipes have nice flowing bends and couplers fit right on. as for performance, anyone who went from stock to tbe or even a d/p has gotten a chance to feel the difference it makes. well, this gives the same feel of gain. so this isn't one those "i think it did something" mods. throttle response is soooo much better. off the line its smooth and easy, the throttle reacts almost as fast as my foot does now. holding 2nd at a rev point and gunning it (rolling start race) or even getting on it letting off and then back on yields no more laggy throttle response. that doesnt seem like something you would do often but if you autocross or track the car, you know in and out of turns the throttle seems to lag, this would be a huge improvement. what makes this so great too is how consistent the power is. the other fmic would get heat soaked after 1 wot pul, now time after time after time the result is the same (crisp response, strong pull). all in all great mod, nice piece. so far i have e.d tbe, e.d sri, e.d fmic on the car. ill hit the dyno soon (aug 9th) and we can see what these bolt ons put down without added boost. but whats great is im not even using any of their potential, the gains will be even higher with tuning and boost.

sorry for bad pics, ill get better ones during the day with a clean car and good cam.

looking good. you should consider chopping the grill out of that lower bumper opening, it'd let the fmic really shine thru and look sweet. yea, i know that's a pretty ricer thing to do, but i still think it looks cool with the intercooler wide open , cuz i think it looks better than the grill to begin with.
