Is there any site or way to find out besides going to the dealer on when they will be hitting showrooms?

There isn't much information out there that is really accessible. In fact, there are areas of Chrysler that have no access to information from other areas. Case in point is customer service.

From what I see, there are two sources of information otherwise:

1) The dealer themselves (they have more information than Chrysler customer service does), and
2) Inventory search from dodge.com.

Keep in mind that not all vehicles appear in the web-visible inventory. In addition, a dealer can search other dealers' inventory (this is probably a true inventory, not the one accessed from dodge.com) to arrange a swap or transfer.

BOTTOM LINE: The dealer is probably your best source. They often have internet sales if you don't want to actually go to the dealership and be stalked by a salesman.

just sold 1st srt-4 caliber

Hello friends, I work at dick greenfield dodge in lawrenceville, nj and we just sold our first srt-4 caliber for a little over $28,000. I was just about fully loaded. We are selling then for list and after we get a little more in stock with then, then we will lower the price a little. If there are any questions about getting one, call me at 609-882-1000 and ask for Rob Fink

I wanted to post a little update here.

I found out when I called customer service on 12/11 (last Tuesday) that my order was in D1 with estimated build of 12/10 (Monday, the day before) and estimated shipping of 12/17 (today). The dealer told me that estimated unload in Spokane was 12/27.

I called today and found that the last status that customer service has is from Friday (12/14) when my car was in E (frame assembly). I expect that they will have an update tomorrow and I will know more.

I know of at least one other person in D1 with a 1/2/2008 estimated build date (I believe that he ordered two weeks after I did).

I have posted info for anyone thats in the process of ordering an SRT,
I ordered mine October 19th, the salesman just called me today when the truck pulled into his lot and said it was there, I'm picking it up Saturday because it's 3 1/2 hours away. The only problem is I live in Upstate NY and there is about 10" of snow here. Its not going on the road until spring so I wont be able to let you all know how it performs. I will take it out at the dealership for a test run. I'll send pics when I get it.

What, ten inches of snow is holding you back? I'll reenact the Donner Party Crossing through the Cascades if I have to.

My car was painted Monday and loaded on a railcar yesterday. I'm sure that I'll hear from the dealership when they get the invoice. The dealer said yesterday that we're on schedule for unloading on 12/27, but customer service said that it may actually arrive at the depot this Saturday.

I guess I got lucky. I found 2 Caliber SRT4's at a local Dodge here in NY. They had a Black one and a silver one. I brought the silver one and will be taking it home on 12-26-07 . I can't wait to get it home .

Talking

This is soooo funny, I had to go back and read this again. I highlighted the appropriate sentence. Go back and read it for yourself.

I wonder if HE bought the car. I am getting mine for below invoice, and I'm not loaded.
