Hi,

The last week I was taking with a Local Mopar Pro Tuner about the clamp, injector and the DP. They tell me that to get more boost the only thing that you want to do is adjust your WGA. Them we put in practices what they say and re-adjusted my WGA and the result was very excited. My CSRT never touch the 19 psi and right now I am holding 17.7 PSI at 87 PCT. Sorry about the photos it's was taken by my cell.

I got my agp wga finally put in yesterday. I appreciate Mouser's how to because I don't know how I would have got to those two bolts otherwise. I only removed the hard pipes running from the intercooler to the turbo along with the heat shield.

First run after the install, I was holding anywhere from 15.8 - 14.2 PSI after a few pulls. I get back home and take a look at the jamb nut and it was completely loose (about 5 turns) away from the rod that is held in with the grenade pin. I also have a P0032 code that won't go away.

Questions:

1) Idea on what the P0032 code is all about? I saw a post that said something about a heat sensor bank1 , sensor1? I had changed to the ZFR plugs about 2-3 weeks ago but don't remember seeing the check engine light. I cleared with the scanguage but it keeps coming back.

2) This is my first experience with a WGA. I held up the wga next to the stocker and made it just a little longer than the stock one. I have since tightened the nut against the rod. I guess I don't understand how that nut works. If I loosen it (counterclockwise) away from the rod, it wouldn't be secured against anything (spinning freely on the threads). Is that correct? I'm aware that towards the firewall is to crank the boost and counterclockwise (away) is to lower the boost. Not yet clamped. Aiming for 16psi -> redline.

Sorry for the length of the post!

Rant - Throttle Response

I've complained about it before, but what happened to me yesterday just further proves how horrid the stock throttle calibration is. ETC sucks...

I've complained about it before, but what happened to me yesterday just further proves how horrid the stock throttle calibration is. ETC sucks period, but when it is calibrated to the point you feel turbo lag when you aren't even engaging the turbo, something's not right.

Yesterday I was sitting at a stoplight on a pretty steep hill (I will be going up the hill as I take off). I'm not one to "cheat" and use the E-Brake to hold me in place while I engage the clutch and depress the gas. I would rather instantaneously change my foot from the foot brake to the gas as I engage the clutch. Anyway, as I begin to make the simultaneous movements I noticed my RPMs were not changing as I depressed the gas pedal. With a car behind me and trying to avoid doing something stupid, I naturally depressed the gas pedal more to get the RPMs up before engaging the clutch. Now I have had delay before, but this is a first. I felt my foot hit the floorboard and the engine was just starting to respond. I would have sworn my gas pedal become disconnected from the throttle cable... oh wait... it did. :)

I know some guys on here have no issues with this (stock Calibers) which I find hard to believe. I don't know if my PCM is really messed up or what. I was always able to take off smoothly in my Neon SRT-4. There are many times in the Caliber I'd swear I've never driven a manual in my life. It makes it difficult to take off smoothly when you are expecting your foot to be in harmony with the engine and it is not.

I had the PCM update done that was supposed to fix some of the throttle issues but I don't think they've gotten any better. Maybe I can go into the dealer and say my throttle body is broken and I need it replaced with a cable throttle under warranty.... think they'd go for that? :)

I know the easy answer is to buy Stage 1. I was even trying to explain this to the wife today. She doesn't drive the car, so it's a moot point to her. Someday I will likely own Stage 1 or the RT Flash if it comes to light. In mean time, does anyone have any suggestions short of bashing in the portion of the PCM that controls the throttle?

took a trip to ohio a couple weekends ago to pick up wheels and after i got back my car started running weirder than normal.
at idle my a/f hangs mid 11's to mid 12's then will randomly hit 14's then right back to 11's again.
i didnt change anything in the fic so thats not the problem.

i put the stock injectors back in and the patch cable for the fic and the car was pretty much back to normal idle. so that rules out a bad o2 sensor.
i also replaced the plugs and the wideband o2.

can a bad injector do this? i hope its not my fic.

oh, and the weird thing is that when im cruising or at wot my a/f is fine.

any opinions are welcome

Would the MS1 be able to lean down and cut duty cycle/pulse on 750CC injectors enough to run a normal idle and drive normally under cruise conditions?

What of these below could/would run me into trouble with emission testing? (smog test) Most of my concerns are the Injectors + upgraded turbo. If anyone, perhaps somebody who has had emissions tested with below mods, knows someone or has enough turbo car knowledge to confirm if any of those 'bigger' mods will definately give a fail in smog test, please let me know your info. Thanks.

Mpx Downpipe + CAT (already have)

MS1 (already have)

Injectors 575cc

Clamp

RT2 or similar upgraded stock turbo

Emissions test done with OBDII + smog from the tailpipe. Im sure the OBD2 will be ok, but the sniff is whats worrying me. According to AEM wideband, these cars idle very lean. Test here is made at 2000rpm and at those rpms, the readings still remain very lean. Isn't the lean condition sign of proper and clean combustion?

Im yet to get clamp, injectors and turbo - just studying and try to figure everything out before buying these parts... I think California is very strict with emissions; any heavily modded guys from there? How u do it? :tongue3:
