| They are both powered by a 2.4L 4 cylinder sewing machine, and are not "trail rated" (When did a Jeep stop having to go down the Rubicon to be called a Jeep??? I always thought a Jeep, by definition, was trail rated.) So, therefore, I am stumped. Personally, I think this is the beginning of the end for Jeep. Sorry. I would recommend a real Jeep (like the Rubicon, Wrangler, Cherokee, etc...), but I can't bring myself to choose between these two. The Compass looks a little bigger and looks like a station wagon, the Patriot looks more like a traditional sport utility. Actually under the body panels they are the same car, same drivetrain, different shape. |
