Exhaust question

What should I go with MPx 3" with cat or Maxxfab Side exit with cat? The Maxxfab is cheaper but the clearance thing I don't know about. What do y'all think and what do y'all have?

Go with what you like best. If it doesn't fit, just trim the bumper.

And I have stock ^_^.

If you have a SXT that means you have a 2.0L correct?

3" is way to big for that size displacement , unless your boosting, and it would do more harm than good.your going to loose a lot of torque and pull at high rpm because of the lack of backpresure.

if your boosting + 3" = ok
not boosting + 3" = Not cool
not boosting + 21/4 =

You should never trim ur bumper... ya cant win a car show with a shaved bumper... lol

Dont go with what YOU like best... go with what ur car likes best...

Depends what ur workin with.... Turbo or No ??
Without a turbo then ur better off just gettin a 3" setup since its 2 1/2" stock. But if ur runnin turbo u can go bigger knowing youll have a sh8t load of backpresser.... to big without the turbo will make ur car slow down.. u may think ur goin faster since ur exhaust will be louder but no... lol

been there.. done that... i have 4" inch Straight Pipe turboback catless racing exhaust...

borla has some great exhausts. and if u wanting to go with an exhaust system
with header and all. for the 2.0 engine the biggest you would like to go with without boosting go with 2.5". they sell pipes so u can doi it urself and use an aftermarket muffler that about the cheapest way to do it. but thats up to you. good luck. try howellautomtive.com and moderperformance.com

dont bother with anything above 2.5 inches. i put the srt exhaust on and lost torque. sucked, but sounded really mean... it was even louder than an srt-4. i had a 2003 sxt i put it on (my old car). now i actually have an srt-4 and unless you have turbo, do NOT go bigger than 2.5", you will regret it! i should say, do not go that big without a MUFFLER because if you DON'T you will lose backpressure since the srt-4 system is muffler-less.
