| Big time Mopar guy here... Sup guys, I heard about calibersrt4.net a while ago but I just now got around to registering. I dont own a Neon or a Caliber, but I'm a huge Mopar guy in general, and I think they're both great cars. I've always been a huge fan of the Neon SRT-4, and there's one that I see every now and then that's like 50% carbon-fiber... It's by far one of the sickest tuner cars we have here in Arizona. Anyways, I look forward to meeting some of you guys. Oh yeah, my cars are in the sig.

| Welcome to our community! I agree with you that the Neon SRT-4 is an amazing car, mostly for it's "bang for your buck" factor and the fact that it's very modifiable. Hopefully the Caliber SRT-4 will be thought of in the same way. It will boost 300hp and cost about 21k. Although the Caliber weighs more than the Neon, it might help with wheel hop, the Caliber will have pretty wide tires, which also helps too. There are a lot of people that dislike the Caliber, mainly because the Neon is no longer in production and they feel that the Caliber replaced it, and also because they would rather have a car replacement and not a SUV crossover. I always loved Mopars and Chevys, and one vehicle I hope to own one day besides a Caliber is a single cab Dodge Ram SRT-10! Anyways, tell your Mopar friends about us! |

| Super Moderator | As Richard said, welcome to CaliberSRT4.net...I would say about 4 years ago, I knew nothing about mopar or even what SRT was all about, until my friend bought a 2004 neon srt-4, sadly to say we made fun of him because, because it looked like the neon stock. Finally he was like u think its a neon...he gave me the ride of my life....i blinked and the car was already over 70mph, and I heard a cool whistling sound, and that sparked my interest...so here I am now. But if I was to get any SRT, it would be the Crossfire SRT6, I love its looks :P but I still need to learn to drive a stick :P

| Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I've been an A-body nut for years and finally bought my first one at the end of last year... That's the one you see in the sig. It's a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback, 360/904 & 7-1/4. Being a project car, it's in fairly rough shape, but eventually I'll have it turned into a big block monster... many years and many thousands of dollars later. The truck is a '99 Dakota Sport with a 318 Magnum and a 5-speed manual hydraulically-assisted truck tranny. It's my daily driver, parts hauler, and rice eater. She weighs in at just under 4,100 lbs with me in it, but still turns high 14's. It's almost stock, I only have an exhaust, ignition, and a ECU upgrade on it. Came stock with 3.90 gears and a LSD. I'm kinda pissed though because they dont make CAI's to fit Dakota's with the 5-speed. ![]()
