Looking to switch to a caliber

Hello all... My name is joe and I am 18 from Southern California. As you can probably tell by my signature, I drive a Chevrolet Avalanche. I have loved this truck for a very long time, but it's coming up on 3 years of owning it, and it's almost 5 years old. The gas mileage is not great... ~12.4. My mom used to have a dodge charger SRT8, and I loved that car. Unfortunately, she did not. She traded it in on a Mercedes E350. Now, I am looking to get a smaller car, with performance and better gas mileage than my truck. That is what has drawn me to the SRT4. I know dodge doesn't mess around with the SRT line and I miss the charger a lot. I am here to do some research and find out what you're all saying about the car. If we do make the decision to buy it, it would probably be around December. So, thanks for accepting me into your community, I hope I can learn a few things about this car.

I'd call your insurance first and get a quote.

I'm picking up my caliber srt4 in the next couple of days and my insurance company has quoted me 122/month, i figured that's very reasonable...

yeah.. I switched from a 2005 f150 supercrew to a 2008 srt4 caliber and my insurance went up 10 bucks a month... not sure what they classify it, but i only pay 130ish/month on it, so it's not too bad

My insurance was much cheaper on the SRT4 than on my mustang. I am insuring my 08 CSRT4, 98 Mustang, and 63 Falcon for about 1K per year.

I swapped from a 2003 Neon to a 2008 SRT4...
my insurance went down $20 to $150 a month.
this was also after a pretty big accident caused by a 16yo and i'm 20.
safer car ftw.
