Macellaro's Performance Tuning***Services***

Hello everyone!

My name is Chris Macellaro owner of Macellaro's Performance Tuning. I wanted to thank the Owner/Admin/Users of this site for a great place to discuss my business with the Caliber community.

We offer a computer recalibration/tuning service for OEM and aftermarket computers. This process entails making your vehicle run properly, giving you the best gas mileage, the most power and torque, and lower emissions.

The Caliber line of vehicles are still very new to the market and the performance side of things is still catching on. So as these new products for your vehicles computer are developed by various manufacturers I would like to offer my technical support. As these products are developed and you guys find the need for a tuning service I hope that you would consider my business. Please feel free to ask me any questions relevant to the computer or any technical questions you may have about your vehicle.

Thank you for everyone’s support and I hope to hear from some of you in the near future and I hope I can help you with your future projects.

Chris Macellaro

I have read in other threads that you and your wife plan on purchasing a Dodge Caliber R/T. This is good news for all of us, because I know that you'll be tinkering with the OEM CPU, and that we'll all benefit when using your services. Do you offer a service where you can mail our CPU and have it flashed with pre settings and sent back?

yeah, that's what a lot of the performance ecu shops do. tune based on a list of modifications, and mail it back. is that what you would do?

Hello!

Yes she may get one this weekend. At the current time there is no open source software interface for the Dodge ECU. I normally do not deal with code and interface programming as I am busy with the other side of the market that is actually tuning the cars using an already in production ECU interface. The time involved in reverse engineering and cracking Dodge's code is to time consuming for someone like myself to pursue at the current time.

I would however work with an individual that was designing the software to come to market.

As far as flash or a box tune goes, this is not something I practice. There are far too many variables that come into play from engine to engine and set-up t set-up. I only do custom Dyno tuning in a controlled environment as I feel it is the only proper way I can give my customers what they are paying for. Box tunes are a good starting point. You can not optimize the car properly without getting your hands on the running vehicle. I feel that this would be an injustice to my customers, so I do not do offer a mail in service.

I do offer services for some of the piggy back systems and hopefully the upcoming AEM EMS Standalone computer if it is put in production. As more people get these cars and modify them the more diverse the selection of tuning products for the Caliber will become.

thank you guys
Chris Macellaro
