Loud blower motor?

I've owned my '08 SRT-4 for just over 24 hours and I can't help to notice that the blower motor is loud. I don't mean the air it's pushing creates a lot of noise, I mean the motor itself. It sounds like the high pitch electrical whine of a computer fan.

Is this normal? Does anyone else notice this on their Caliber? My previous '01 Ram and every other vehicle I owned have not had the blower motor sound like this.
