ABS/ESP BAS/Traction Control Light all ON

So yesterday when I started my car to go get some lunch during my break at work, all these lights stayed on. I've already checked for codes through my scan gauge and even did the 3-click turn key thing to see if a code would pop up on the dash, but nothing.

The only thing I did about an hour before I went to go out was mess around with one of my scan gauges because I was trying to tighten up the bracket that comes with them and I did unplug that gauge to mess around with it.

I haven't checked any of my fuses, but that's the next thing I'm going to do when I get home from work today.

The brakes feel just fine other than I do sometimes get the loud squealing from my front brakes, but I need to replace the front rotors because they are warped and while I did replace the pads, the squealing comes and goes.

I've seen like 2 other threads about this, but the threads did not seem to have an answer for this problem. My car has 32K miles on it and is my daily driver. And I'm also unable to use my cruise control for the time being. Hopefully someone else has ran into this problem and found a solution to it.

Re: ABS/ESP BAS/Traction Control Light all ON

Had/have the same problem. All started when a wheel bearing was going out. Didnt even notice it at the time. About a week later i realized it. Changed the bearing and all tpms sensors when i got new tires. Traction and bas light are still on. The only thing i can think is a wheel speed sensor from where my bearing when out. No one has been able to help me either man

Re: ABS/ESP BAS/Traction Control Light all ON

I'm waiting for my scanguage to arrive to prove/disprove a theory.

If you have a scanguage go for a straight drive (hwy) for a couple miles and record the steering wheel angle. I'm thinking that after long cruises if the wheel angle is too much then the lights are the indication the ESP thinks it is always trying to make corrections.
If i let go of my steering wheel my car drifts to the left and I have approx 5 degree left tilt on the steering wheel.
Again, once I have gauges I am getting alignment and will record my before and after findings.
To reset all I did was pull batt connection for 30 min then turned key to run position and turned steering wheel left 1 rotation and then right 1 rotation and back to center. This procedure I found on inter web to reset/calibrate steering wheel clockspring module.
Started car and drove for 100 feet and lights went off.

Try to turn it back on via the scan gauge. I have mine all turned off thru it. Personally I feel it drives better with the assists off.

Turn the ESP traction control back on with the scangauge. When I turn mine off,all the lights as you explained, come on.

Re: ABS/ESP BAS/Traction Control Light all ON

Well yesterday tried using the scan gauge to turn it off and on, but that didn't work. Next thing I did was read up on the car manual and checked out the fuses and brake fluid level and all is good with those 2. Next thing is to disconnect the battery for 30 mins., reconnect it and turn the steering one rotation to the left and one to the right and see what happens then.

The question I have is why is there no trouble code(s) being identified by the scan gauge or through the dash when you do the 3 click turn key?

Re: ABS/ESP BAS/Traction Control Light all ON

Well disconnected the battery for 30 mins. and still after restarting and all, the same lights are still lit. I guess I truly have a problem with my ABS/ESP BAS. I'm ordering new rotors and brake pads and at the same time will have the brake technician look at the ABS system to see if he can find a problem with it.

Try disconnecting the scangauge and see what happens.. I remember a year or so ago while driving my obd2 connector wiggled out..the dash lit up like a christmas tree.. I disconnected the obd2 connector turned the car off and back on and all was fine..
Also check fuse 34...

I'll try this out today. I did check fuse the first time around when it lit up and the fuse was good, but I'll check it again. I may even just buy a replacement and swap them out just to see what happens. I'm also gonna look around the ABS sensor.
