friend drops regular rubbing alcohol in his, I think like a 20% alcohol to 80% water ratio. Just guessing on the ratio though.
he noticed a big difference since the alcohol help evaporated the water faster.

if your going with water do some searching on the internet because there are a ton of how-to's to make your own from random parts.

with water theres a few things to remember, 1 is to make sure you have a fine mist. it works by the heat transfering from the fmic to the water droplets. the droplets then evaporate and take the heat with them. if the drops are to heavy they will take longer to evap and not work as well as a fine mist. 2 is having check valves. most of the time you container will be higher than the fmic and with the lines running down it will cause a syphone (sp). so after you run it once the water will keep going until it empties the canister. check valves can help this because the valve will need a degree of pressure to open it and the syphone alone wont do it.

the nitrous ones can be bought by most of the leading nitrous kit companies like zex and nos.

the csrt stock fmic is a big pos and youd be better spending the money on upgrading it than putting a sprayer on there.
You fogot about the CryO kits that use Co2. The stock FMIC is a POS? Damn, last time I checked both DCR and RT said it was good for 400 WHP (we support this claim as well). For being a stock FMIC, it works damn well.

OP, water is good but remember that water tanks get hot in summer weather (trunk mounted kits or in our case rear hatch mounted tanks get cooked in the daytime sun). So unless you plan on running some ice in the tank when you got out for a night of fun, don't get a water kit. The cryo or N2O based systems are very good.

N2o can cause the car to run lean so don't run it during a race, just run it 10 to 15 seconds before the race. This way the FMIC is good and cold and will stay that way for a good gime (sometimes a minute).

Co2 systems can cause the car to run rich. Remember that Co2 is used to put our fires. If this makes it into your inlet of the turbo then you can bet its going to make it into your motor. Again, only spray them prior to a race, this will keep the vapors out of the motor and let you run solid down the track.

There it is in a nut shell, both do the same thing, both have different effects on the motor if it gets digested.

The mix is a good way to go an it really helps, but never go more then 20%. If you go more then this it can and has caught on fire with other peoples cars. Its good, but very dangerous if you get the mix off much.

waste of money... If you're gonna install a nitrous kit, spray it into the motor. Honestly, too bad this car isn't yet predictable enough for fool proof nitrous install but on the NSRT-4 I laughed at people spraying their intercooler w/ n2o..

You get 100x the benefits by spraying it into the motor..

Re: Wasn't sure where this should go, intercooler spray

I got the intercooler sprayer and its good for 37hp and 51 ft lbs of tq. I like the sysytem since the n20 doesnt get to the motor. I prefer to leave it that way. Safe power that ive never had a problem with
