Steering Lock

I was reading my owners manual since i had just purchased an 08 CSRT about a month ago and it was showing how to lock the steering wheel. It said that after shutting off the car and someone was to turn the steering wheel about a half a turn it would automatically lock. The it said if you wanted to lock it manually you would have to turn the steering with the Logo facing ( steering wheel) upside down , shut the car off, push in on the key and turn it back to the lock position. Then slighty move the steering wheel left or right to lock. I have tried both methods a few times but none of them work. Can anyone give me some info. Thanks

Well my steering lock doesn't seem to be working correctly. I'll try it a few more times before i take it back to the dealer. I wasn't really worried about someone trying to start it but someone could break in and drift it down the road some where and tow it away if they wanted.
