i just find them to be the most aragant. the most down to earth import guys (tuners if you will) are vw owners. i'm a gm guy threw and threw however this damn gas price thing is forcing me other ways. i really like the csrt. i do i like it alot. just the gasmilage isnt that great. if i build up my 1.8t i'll still hammer back great milage.

if you guys think you have it bad.. try driving around a 6cyl that people always take as slow..

Question

Now, I've been drinking, but a lot of responses on this thread don't make a whole lot of sense.

??

I agree. I have almost no clue whats going on. Never raced an LS1 Camaro. But then again that is a total different type of power. You start putting that kind of car on a track that TURNS, and it would be a completely different ballgame.

Been There Done That

The Ws6 Can't Handle Without Suspension Mods. It Will Do Good On Street But Not On Track. Big Difference.

Camaro / Trans Am WS6 Handling

I would have to agree, they don't handle worth crap stock.

I have a 96 Camaro SS with Eibach Sportline's, it really button the car down, however, still not as stable around a corner like a E36 or E46 M3.

I did have a chance to drive the last year Trans Am WS6, was thinking about trading my 96 SS in for it. I can tell you, stock it was to loose for my taste, without it being lowered with some Eibach's. Was it fast? Ya, it was pretty fun. The LS1 out breathe the LT1 in the upper RPM's, however the LT1 have an off line torque advantage, by 3500 RPM, the LS1 pulls harder. Better breathing heads.

Again, it's difficult to compare a NSRT4 or a CSRT4 to a RWD Camaro or Trans Am from a Dig. They have torque & traction. It's just difficult to put that down to get good times in a stop light or drag race for FWD vehicles. Real comparo of power is on a roll.

I like all performance car, every car has an distinct advantage. Just don't like all the hater's that think there's no other car that's better than the one they drive.

Hope the LT1 Impala guys at my other forum ImpalaForums.com don't see this thread, they'll want to defend their favorite engine and vehicles associated with it.
