everyones claiming that a bone stock no mods right from the factory 2.4L turbo srt-4 neon will do 140mph. i thought the goverment would put a restriction on the top speed. any one know?

Good question. I just got off the phone with my Chrysler rep, and he tells me that the computer will kick in @ 155 mph. I have not nor will I hit the streets to test this out. However, he has never been wrong on anything I have asked him.

Negative on both.

Speed limiters are not required by the government, but they are set to match the speed rating the tires have.

CSRT-4's come with Goodyear F1s which are Z rated....170+ mph.

The CSRT-4 is not electronically limited for top speed, it is aerodynamically (drag) limited at roughly 155 mph.

I have had the NSRT-4 peg the speedo... 156 mph.

I'm in germany, and so far the car lacks in power over 140mph if it does goes 155mph I wonder how, since I got the autobahns with no speed limits and haven't touched the 145 yet, meanwhile my Audi A3 does gets the 165mph
