How soon do you think until an aftermarket tuner will be released?

I was wondering how soon an aftermarket tuner kit will bee released. I know that it took 2 years until one was released for the Chevy Cobalt.

Looks like it is going to be a long times since the engineers still do not now how many kits will be offered and how high the stages will go. They take a great deal of time and care when tuning and testing in the real world before releasing the kits to the general public.

I hope the top stage kit will boost horsepower over 400. I did hear rumors that the engine is already at top capacity and that there will not be any stage kits, but I doubt that.

Dodge and Mopar won't let the SRT line down. They'll have stage kits. I wish they would also have stage kits for the R/T but I know that is a fat chance.

the srt platform is a proven product. and to pick up where the str4 left off would be in mopar best intrest. a lot of fans of the srt4 aka neon on crack have turned away from mopar with the launch of the caliber and to gain them back they will have to put up the same numbers that the srt4 is easily putting up.

New SRT4

Just got my new SRT4 on Monday. The dealer told me the kits are coming according to the 2 viper techs they have, they just don't know when. The car by the way seems much quicker than my 05 Magnun rt.

Darrel Cox Racing

I wonder how Cox Racing got around the overboost code? Or did they actually tune the ecm?

ok, i just joined this forum and im sorry but its like the dark ages here. im not talking shit or trying to start anything but there just seems to be a huge lack of information. dcr has a tuning solution, and realtune has packages (rts1 and rts2) s1 is trapping 115mph+ running 13.0 and has the ability to go much faster. s2 just wen 12.5 at 119mph. as you can see by the mph those et's are way higher than what the car can do. s1 is an easy mid 12 sec car and s2 will go 11's real soon. realtunes stages include the aem fic, injectors a b/c and base maps with plenty of room to still tune.

the engine is far from being at its limits, its a very capable platform and its already gone over 400hp on stock engine (other than tuning and fuel needs) and stock clutch without failure. the one failure was due to a nos incident and the issue has been addressed.

i dont know if any of you are from the nsrt world but the nsrt got as far as it did by sharing knowledge, thats why i joined this forum even though ive been part of another forum for a while now. what im saying is even though you guys like it here, venture over to the other boards (not the z one, that place is useless) theres lots of good info advances and products available that arent here. 2 companies have torn this engine apart, torn the tranny down and put this car to a beating. so as you can imagine lots of information comes out of this and for some reason you guys arent getting it. i dont mind sharing but my god you guys are getting shafted in this department.

From what I have been told there is not yet a way to get around the overboost code, you have to tune for the boost you have available in the stock ecu, but there is an actual standalone tuning device in the works now, while I think these are good I may just wait for mopar to come out with their solution, if mopar releases something on the market there should be no problems with it, some independent tuners even on OTS maps design not so safe maps for daily driving.
