mopar s1 due out early october. not sure what it will change but so far its a new pcm.

otb maps are fine for daily driving if done right. one that has had good dyno tuning before put on the market will work fine because it will have a conservative enough tune to not be dangerous regardless of elevation, outside temps etc. the otb maps out now still run rich and from everyone that has them its said they have tuned out quite a bit more power out of them (street and dyno tunes) showing how conservative they are. second a otb map is not ment to be taken as a complete map, they are ment to function well on the mass population while offering those who want much room for improvement. which is exactly what the ones out do. besides all those flash tuners, reflashes etc are otb maps. if you feel like starting from scratch and making your very own custom map from zero then you can buy the current tuning module quite inexpensive and spend tons of money on a dyno to get it right. or you can pay a little more and save yourself tons in the long run to start with a otb map that someone else has spent countless hours coming up with to give you a good starting point and only spend maybe 1 hour on a dyno or street tuning till its perfect for you. to be honest this controller is 10 times safer than what we all did with the nsrt and map clamps. they worked great but you only let the pcm see 10 psi and pushed 18. if you did it right you afr's were great, but the pcm was giving you timing for 10psi not for 18. that can be an issue. but with the fic its not because you control that as well as many other parameters.

dcr got around the over boost codes first using dual map clamps, then switch to the aem fic for tuning. its not a stand alone. the pcm still controls open loop operations, the fic only comes to play while in closed loop, allowing control over fuel and timing.

anyway im tired of typing, besides its not like anyone even reads it. ive written about the tuning solutions tried and or used and its seems every time 2 posts below someone says theres no way to up boost, or how did dcr do it, or fastest calibers are in the hi 13's. fact is theres quite a few personally not shop owned csrt4's out there trapping 115+ mph, videos of one beating a modded gcsrt8, running 13.4', 13.0's etc etc. so take it for what you will, 2 tuning solutions are mentioned in this post, and a few others on this board, and how dcr has done it is too. all this info is out there plus more from the guys who actually did it with pics, vids etc, if you dont believe me go look for yourself. how come no one ever mentions that another company has gone faster than dcr without nos.

Who are these Realtune characters you speak of?

Aaron,

I was told to contact you. Tried doing it through your site but not sure if it went through. What is exactly involved in getting around the overboost code. I am new to the srt4/turbo market. Know a good deal about cars...just new to turbos. I was told that with the overboost code we couldnt do anythnig until a stage kit comes out. then I was told to contact you. So...what do you have?

If he didn't get a hold of you I can help you out fairly easy.

We will have several options here in the coming months, some affordable others not.

I will have several parts updates as well. PM me or hit up my section if you want to talk some about this, thanks.
